Working for the communityDespite a major loss of their president, and tough economic times, WICAC answered the call. Hundreds of volunteers coordinated five (5) major events throughout the year in helping making a difference to those less fortunate.
On January 7th, 2011, WICAC volunteers Andrew Phillips, Bob Souch, and Jim Morrison presented a check for $20,000 to NOVA Executive Director, Marie-France Juneau, and coordinator, Carol Jonas. These funds will be primarily used in helping Carousel, a bereavement program for children between the ages of 4-16 years of age. » Read more |

A generous donation!One of WICAC's dear friends, Mr. Steven Arless, last December donated $1400 to our cause. Steve raised this amount last summer on a sponsored bicycle trek across the Canadian Rockies. Over a period of two weeks, Steve braved wind, mountains, and even snow to cycle the northern route from Vancouver to Calgary.
